A graduate from the Oil Painting Department of Sichuan Fine Arts Institute, Li Jie started independent curatorial practice in 2006. From 2007 to 2010, he was a curator at the Art Museum of Sichuan University. He is the chief curator of LUXELAKES • A4 Art Museum (Chengdu, China), where he has been working as a curator since 2011 and where he established the Exhibition & Academic Department. He won the Asian Cultural Council Fellowship in 2016, and the 1st Hyundai Blue Prize: Sustainability Curator Award in 2017.
